The price of a gram of gold in the local market, 21 karat, rose three thousand pounds today, affected by the increase in the price of an ounce globally, to 1809 dollars.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsman Association for Crafting and Making Jewelery in Damascus, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 182 thousand Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 181,500 pounds, while the 18-carat gram selling price was 156,000 pounds and a purchase price of 155,500 pounds.
The association asked craftsmen to abide by the price issued by it, calling on citizens wishing to buy gold not to pay for it except according to the bulletin and to file a complaint in the event of a violation on the numbers 2248005 and 0991937718.
