Ofer Bloch has been appointed CEO of the Shufersal Group
IEC CEO Ofer Bloch has been elected by Shufersal's board to head the group. Bloch will replace the outgoing CEO, Itzik Aberkhan, who surprised about a month ago when he announced his desire to end his term.

Shufersal's Board of Directors has appointed Ofer Bloch to the position of CEO of the Shufersal Group. Bloch has served as CEO of the Electric Company from 2015 until today.
According to Shufersal, "he brings with him rich experience in managing companies in the field of consumer products and leading strategic moves and complex changes in leading organizations."
Prior to managing the IEC, Bloch served as CEO of the Hadera Paper Group, President and CEO of Netafim, President and CEO of Yes Satellite Services and as CEO of Tnuva Dairy.
Ofer Bloch's appointment will take effect at the end of the notice period at the Electric Company.
Shufersal also stated that the company's board of directors selected Ofer after a rigorous process conducted by a search committee that examined many experienced candidates.
Bloch will replace Itzik Aberhahn, who announced his retirement from the group's CEO after 10 years in office.
