The price of a gram of gold in the local market rose by 21 thousand Syrian pounds today, affected by the increase in the price of an ounce globally to 1860 dollars.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsman Association for Crafting and Making Jewelery in Damascus, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 185 thousand Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 184,500 pounds, while a gram of 18 karat selling price reached 158,571 pounds and a purchase price of 158,071 pounds.
