The mining group Eramet is leaving a complicated year behind it after publishing 2021 annual results on Wednesday which it describes
as “excellent”
.
Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes and provisions) has doubled, and exceeded one billion euros last year.
After a loss of 675 million euros in 2020, the net result is back in the green at nearly 300 million euros, for a turnover of 3.7 billion euros.
Deleveraging
These results reflect the change in the group.
Firstly because they are no longer penalized by two subsidiaries far from its core business.
These, in the red, are in the process of being sold and therefore removed from the 2021 results - namely Aubert & Duval (specialist in high-performance steels) and the Sandouville hydrometallurgy plant.
