The price of a gram of gold in the local market today rose by 6 thousand pounds, with the price of an ounce globally rising to reach 1940 dollars.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craftsmen Association for Jewelery and Jewelery in Damascus today, a gram of 21 karat gold recorded a selling price of 196 thousand pounds and a purchase price of 195.5 thousand pounds, while a gram of 18 karat selling price was 168,000 pounds and a purchase price of 167.5 thousand pounds.
In another statement posted on its Facebook page, the association asked citizens, when purchasing any gold piece, to ensure that the invoice was obtained from the seller and that the weight and caliber of the piece and the jeweler’s wages should be publicly stated and the association stamped exclusively.
