Questioned by AFP, the management of the Rennes site of Stellantis confirmed that it had announced to the employees the shutdown of the factory "
for one week from Monday
", during a social and economic committee (CSE) amazing Friday morning.

We are still within the framework of the shortage of semiconductors with supplies under tension
", explains the management.
“
We have a central crisis unit which manages our supplies and parts and (these parts) are currently missing
,” added management.
The site will be “
completely stopped
” and “
the employees will be in partial activity
".
Management also offered those concerned to be on RTT on Thursday and Friday.
Management confirms that temporary workers will also be affected: “

PSA-La Janais, located south of Rennes, employs some 2,000 people and temporary workers.
The plant, which has two shifts, usually produces 400 vehicles a day - Citroën C5 Aircross and Peugeot 5008.
