Gold prices in the local market rose by 4 thousand pounds per gram of 21 karat today, with the global price of an ounce rising to 1974 dollars.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craft Society for Crafting and Making Jewelery in Damascus, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 200,000 Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 19,500 Syrian pounds, while an 18-carat gram selling price was 171429 pounds and a purchase price of 170929 pounds.
