InfraVia is accelerating.

The investment company specializing in infrastructure has just raised 5 billion euros in the space of six months.

An amount more than twice the €2 billion raised in 2018. InfraVia manages €10 billion in unlisted assets.

It invests in European companies operating in digital infrastructures (Céleste…), energy transition (Aurora…), social infrastructures (Grandir crèches…) and mobility (Venice airport).

“There are more and more investment opportunities in infrastructure, which explains the appetite of investors

, explains Vincent Levita, founder and president of InfraVia.

They are also asset classes that protect against inflation because they generate regular income.”

The investment company has also diversified into technology: it recently finalized an initial fundraising of 500 million euros.

"We are also very ambitious in technology which could experience the same development as that which we have experienced in infrastructure"

, continues Vincent Levita.

InfraVia raised funds before the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

But, since then, some private equity firms have reportedly had more difficulty than usual in closing new funding rounds.

"Current uncertainties generate a wait-and-see attitude

," explains Jean-Marc Le Roux, partner at Bain & Cie.

The unlisted market could slow down a little, with less investment.

"But that shouldn't last too long, especially in the most sought-after sectors spared by the crisis, such as technology

," adds Jean-Marc Le Roux.
