Stellantis' 2030 plan, presented on March 1 by its general manager Carlos Tavares, was eagerly awaited in Italy.
The ex-Fiat factories are running at a third of their capacity, and partial unemployment there has become so massive – double before the pandemic – that the situation seems untenable in the eyes of all.
If the Italian unions, FIM-CISL and Fiom-CGIL in the lead, recognize the ambition of management on the electrification of vehicles and the development of the group, they expected much more.
They hoped to finally understand the industrial plan of Stellantis, and the place that the Italian factories will hold.
