After being rocked since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Alstom shares rebounded on Wednesday, posting a 9.33% rise at the close.
The markets reacted positively to the announcement of the suspension of the group's activities in Russia and Ukraine as well as the freezing of future investments.
In Ukraine (0.5% of turnover), the TGV, train and metro manufacturer employs 40 Ukrainians, distributed in its commercial office in Kiev and its engineering center, dedicated to signaling, located in Kharkiv (region of the Oblast), which has been bombarded for days by the Russian army.
Given the situation, the partnership project with UZ, the Ukrainian SNCF, is frozen.
