You should know that there is a really close country where you can get falafel for three shekels and countries where you can buy a three-course meal, or three servings of shawarma and even a bottle of wine for less than a dollar.

While in Israel street food prices are rising and the price of a simple falafel dish already costs NIS 20-25, there are quite a few places in the world where you can find good, tasty and appetizing food for much less.

At BuzzFeed they contacted their community members around the world and asked them to tell what foods they can buy in their country for one US dollar (i.e. a little over three shekels).

2. Australia - McDonald's frozen voice
