Here we go again for ten years!
The State has just entrusted the SNCF with the operation until 2031 of its “territorial balance trains”, these ten Intercity lines which benefit from subsidies.

This network concerns three so-called structuring lines (Paris-Limoges-Toulouse, Paris-Clermont-Ferrand and Bordeaux-Marseille), four "territorial development" lines (Nantes-Lyon, Nantes-Bordeaux, Toulouse-Hendaye and Clermont-Ferrand -Béziers) and three night lines Paris-Briançon-Nice, L'Occitan (Paris-Toulouse-Rodez/Albi) and Le Pyrénéen (Paris-Lourdes/Latour-de-Carol/Cerbère).
€1.73 billion
In total, the SNCF will receive 1.73 billion euros to operate these lines during the ten years of the contract.
But the state expects in exchange a 20% increase in traffic.
At present, these lines carry 8.4 million passengers per year for an average of 80 to 90 trips per day.
