The Saint-Avold coal-fired power station, in Moselle, whose closure is scheduled for March 31, could resume service next winter, given the setbacks of EDF's nuclear fleet and the consequences of the war in Ukraine, said the Ministry of Ecological Transition on Monday.
As for the other coal-fired power plant in operation in France, that of Cordemais, in Loire-Atlantique, it could run more hours.
For now, its closure is scheduled for 2026.
