Russia's Gazprom announced that it continues its operations to supply Russian gas to European countries through Ukraine on a regular basis.
And TASS news agency quoted company spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov as telling reporters today that Gazprom provided Russian gas to be transported to Europe via Ukrainian territory as usual, according to European consumers' requests, which amounted to 108.4 million cubic meters today, noting that yesterday's requests amounted to 108.3 million cubic meters.
He added: This volume is approximately equal to the deliveries under the long-term reservation request for gas transit through Ukraine, which is estimated at 109.5 million cubic meters per day.
In general, Europe has recently significantly increased its purchases of gas from Russia amid increasing spot prices due to cold weather, winds and the Russian special operation in Ukraine to protect Donbass.
