Today, the dollar jumped to its highest level in nearly two years, its highest level since late May 2020.
According to Reuters, the dollar index rose to 99.778 and was traded in late trading, up 0.17 percent at 99.644.
The dollar maintained its gains against the Japanese currency and was trading in late trading, up 0.1 percent to 123.78 yen.
There was little change in the euro against the dollar after it fell to its lowest level in a month, and the European currency benefited earlier from the strength in producer prices in the euro area, which jumped 31.4 percent on an annual basis last February.
And the euro was trading in late trading at 1.0896 dollars, after briefly touching the lowest level in a month at 1.0874 dollars.
