It's not a unicorn yet, but it's not far off.
The start-up TagEnergy - it was founded in 2017 - announces that it has raised 450 million euros from its historic and majority shareholder, the Impala fund belonging to Jacques Veyrat, as well as from Mirova (Natixis IM) and the Omnes fund .
Each of the financiers put 150 million euros into the pot, Impala retaining the majority stake.
The company does not communicate on its valuation.
But the goal is for the latter to quickly reach one billion, heading to become a unicorn.

“This capital injection will allow TagEnergy to complete an initial portfolio of projects of more than 2.7 gigawatts in five countries (UK, Spain, Portugal, France and Australia)”
, explains the company in a press release.
At the moment, two battery sites for the electricity grid are under construction in the UK.
The fundraising must make it possible to finance the realization of the other wind farm projects…
