Lancia, the sleeping Italian beauty, wakes up.
The Fiat group brand, now integrated into the giant Stellantis, will release three new models by 2028. During the presentation of its ten-year strategy, Luca Napolitano, the boss of Lancia, gave some details on the relaunch of the brand.
A new Ypsilon, the only model still on sale, will hit the market in 2024, in hybrid and electric versions, larger and more "masculine" than the current city car, which is aimed primarily at female drivers in town.
It will be assembled on the same platform as the Peugeot 208 and the Opel Corsa.
An electric SUV, which could take the name of Lancia's sedans, Aurelia, will follow in 2026. A third model, Delta, a compact electric vehicle, built on the same platform as the future Opel Manta, will be launched in 2028.
