Telephony: why operators are increasing the price of subscriptions

That is an immediate increase of 50% on the bill.

For Geneviève, 78, this is not nothing.

When this retiree from Saint-Appolinaire (Rhône) received her bill in March, she did not understand.

At the end of the line, her operator, SFR, explained to her that an additional option had been offered to her and that she had one month to refuse it.

As she had not done so, this paid option was activated.

“The practice is unfortunately common, deplores Olivier Gayraud, lawyer at the consumer association CLCV (Consumption, housing and living environment).

But it has intensified further this past year.

The sector seeks by all means to increase the prices of their subscriptions.
