Emmanuel Macron is, for the second time in a row, the tenant of the Élysée for the next five years.
The outgoing president won the presidential elections, this Sunday, April 24, against the far-right candidate Marine Le Pen, with 58.8% of the vote.
The candidate of the “La République en Marche” party, 44, had chosen a symbolic staging, imagined at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, surrounded by his wife and several children.
He thus took the opportunity to recall the main lines of his program dedicated to his desire to “make France a great nation”.
Then invited his wife, Brigitte Macron, to join him on stage to sing the national anthem.

A very neat official appearance, which was preceded by a more intimate moment in the heart of the Élysée Palace.
Indeed, Emmanuel Macron had met with his clan while awaiting the announcement of the results.
Upon learning of his re-election, the latter had, as a first instinct, to give his wife a kiss, while she hid her face, overwhelmed with emotion.
A moment taken on the spot, captured by the director of the cabinet of the first lady, Tristan Brommet and shared on Instagram.
A moment of tenderness that moved the supporters of the presidential couple.
“Too proud to be French”, wrote one of them under the publication.
The first lady has also drawn praise from many Internet users: “We love and respect Brigitte Macron.
She is an example”, can we read.
Or: "I'm happy for Madame Macron, she's really a golden woman!".

In the wake of his speech at the Champ-de-Mars, Emmanuel Macron shared a message on his Twitter account.
“To those who voted for me, not to support my ideas but to block those of the extreme right, your vote obliges me.
This evening, I am no longer the candidate of a camp, but the President of all and all”, he wrote.

For her part, Marine Le Pen, after the announcement of her defeat, delivered a speech on the very evening of the elections, at the Pavillon d'Armenonville in Paris.
The latter was pleased with her score, having received around 42% of the vote, and declared: “The ideas that we represent are reaching new heights.
(…) Tonight's result is in itself a resounding victory.”
The candidate of the "National Rally" is now preparing for the June legislative elections.
