Its production volume doubled in 2021 compared to the previous year.
However, green gas still weighs only 2% of French gas consumption, or 6 terawatt hours (TWh).
"Until recently, the number of project leaders multiplied each year by two or three
," says one at GRDF.
The projects under consideration represent more than three times current production, ie 20 terawatt hours.
Between 3 and 5 new installations come out of the ground every month.
