Strauss-Elite chocolate products are one of the most popular in Israel, with iconic brands such as Cow Chocolate, Time Out, Tastes and many others.

These products are part of the choppers' routine of many Israelis: children, youth, soldiers and adults, but on holidays it often happens that the drawers are filled even more than on normal days.



This morning, following the recall announcement (collection of products from the shelves) for a wide range of products made from liquid chocolate produced at the Vered Hagalil chocolate factory in Nazareth, for "Elite", many consumers asked us where and how the remaining products can be returned to their homes.



Strauss apologized in a statement to its customers and referred them to inquiries on the site, via "Contact Us" or through the consumer service at 6860 *



So far everything is good and beautiful, but from our experience, its use of these channels has yielded nothing, so far at least.

A call to consumer service encountered a direct transfer to a busy sound, or alternatively to a recorded message in the style of "Subscription not available now, please try again later", possibly due to a load of referrals.



Once we were able to get the voicemail we were asked to decide whether to talk to a representative or switch to SMS correspondence.



For

a telephone answer from a representative,

we waited 35 minutes until despair and the call was disconnected, and when we chose

to correspond by SMS

, we were sent a message in which we wrote the content of the referral and received a message template that informs us that the information we provide will be used for various purposes. .



In the meantime, more than two hours have passed - and we are still waiting for a matter-of-fact response.

We went through a similar process on the company's website with a "quick turn on every issue" that Strauss offers to its customers.



Some of the time the site did not respond, apparently due to a load of referrals.

Even when we were allowed to click, we had to write the request / inquiry / question in detail until we were asked to type in the product name and barcode, which caused further despair: Will a family with dozens of Strauss-Elite chocolate products have to type each number separately?



And what about dairy delicacies plus the company's chocolate?

After all, most toppings made or coated with chocolate come from the same source - the factory that shut down the Galilee board.

Will we have to type the barcode of each trophy separately on the site?

In another attempt, we typed one item including the requested barcode, two hours have passed and we are still waiting for

a response.

And there is another issue that is currently unlikely to have a solution: it is likely that customer compensation will be through a digital voucher that will entitle the holder to the same product for free, but since the plant is closed for an unknown time, when will these products be available for collection?
