The Syrian Trust for Development launched the productive development loan for those affected by the fires that swept thousands of acres of agricultural and forest lands in the countryside of Lattakia in the fall of 2020, with a value determined according to the borrower’s need and the nature of his project, and it starts from 250 thousand Syrian pounds to 5 million Syrian pounds.
The secretariat stated in a statement published today on its official page on the social networking site Facebook that this loan is part of a project program in the Syrian Trust for Development and the National Bank for Microfinance.
The Municipality explained that the loan is provided to 1,100 beneficiaries, including 500 in the first phase for a month and 600 in the second phase for a period of two months, with the launch of production projects, pointing out that Al-Watania branches and beacons of the Secretariat in the areas and villages affected by the fires help in implementing the activities related to the product.
The secretariat indicated that the productive development loans cover medical agricultural projects, livestock and agricultural wealth projects, as well as simple food industries and craft projects, where the chances of success of these projects crystallize in the technical, human and environmental components and the experience factor in addition to the personal motives for work, production and the productive mentality of the project owner, which is being worked on. solidify it.
The Secretariat indicated that the fire event was dealt with at that time as an unprecedented emergency ordeal that required rapid intervention for material compensation by the government. The Syrian Trust for Development contributed to collecting donations for those affected and reached an advanced stage of involving the communities of the affected areas in achieving sustainable development and revitalizing those areas by benefiting from its resources and experiences of its people.
