Subscriptions to SCPI shares, real estate funds which manage a portfolio of buildings - offices, shops, warehouses, etc. - and pay a share of the rents to savers, literally soared in the 1st quarter of 2022, to 2.6 billion euros (+ 55% over one year), according to the French Association of Real Estate Investment Companies (Aspim).
A level close to the best years, after a drop in subscriptions, linked to the Covid.
It must be said that these products have withstood the crisis particularly well.
Yields have averaged 4.49% in 2021. They are doing better than inflation.
Real estate is traditionally a good bulwark against rising prices.
