Gold prices in the local market increased by two thousand pounds per gram of 21 karat, compared to the prices of yesterday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craft Society for Crafting and Making Jewelry in Damascus today, a gram of 21 carat gold recorded a selling price of 204 thousand Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 203,500 pounds, while a gram of 18 karat selling price reached 174857 thousand pounds and a purchase price of 174357 pounds.
The association affirmed that all craftsmen abide by the price issued by it, calling on citizens wishing to buy gold not to pay for it except according to the bulletin dedicated to the following numbers for submitting complaints in the event of a violation: 2248005 and 0991937718.
