See Venice and work from home!
Weakened by the exceptional rise in water levels in November 2019 and then by the Covid-19 pandemic, which deprived the City of the Doges of its tourists, the municipality now wants to attract working people and integrate them into its community.
Venice, which has been emptied of its population in recent decades, has only 50,000 inhabitants, representing a third of its residential capacity.
The new work organizations have inspired local authorities, who have created an experimental program and launched the Venywhere platform to promote the development of a teleworker ecosystem.
This tool makes it possible to find accommodation, reserve workspaces, register for courses, cultural and sporting activities, or do voluntary work.

Four sites are dedicated to teleworking, including Ca' Foscari University and the Venice Foundation, which initiated the Venywhere experiment.
The computer network specialist Cisco, which intends to change the vision of teleworking, is a partner in the operation and has notably equipped meeting rooms with its devices.
But his commitment does not stop there: sixteen employees of the American group, including six French, have already left to telecommute for three months within the Serenissima.
To contribute to the growth of the Venetian initiative, they participate in surveys to give their impressions of their experience.
