Wall Street US stocks closed higher after a volatile session.
Reuters reported that the Standard & Poor's 500 index closed up 0.48 percent to 4,175.42 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 0.21 percent to end the session at 12562.01 points.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.17 percent to close at 33,117.77 points.
