What is the most important thing that you prefer in the workplace?

There are a number of key parameters that have changed in the priorities of the Israeli worker that clearly indicate the changes in the employment market.

The first parameter (in terms of change) and the one with the biggest change is occupational stability.

Last year, during the peak period of the corona, this parameter took the third and most honorable place, when this year it dropped to only sixth place.

The third place this year was occupied by the parameter Challenge and Professional Interest, and flexibility in the workplace rose from tenth to ninth place.

The first two places - labor relations (first place for the fifth year in a row) and direct supervisor management (second place) remained in place.

The self-fulfillment parameter rose from fifth to fourth place, and precisely the parameter of salary and ancillary conditions fell from fourth place to fifth place.

Among high-tech workers, the wage parameter came only in sixth place and the flexibility in work parameter took fifth place.

44% of employees examine employment opportunities outside the organization;

38% are considering retraining

One of the salient trends that the corona has accelerated is the movement of workers from one workplace to another.

In a special survey conducted by Coface Bdi among 300,000 employees in more than 100 companies from all sectors, it was found that 44% of employees check employment opportunities outside the organization from time to time, a significant jump from last year, when this figure was only 33%.

This trend is also noticeable and well-known in the high-tech industry with 46% of employees examining options outdoors, and with a 7% increase from last year.

At the same time, 61% of employees testified that they feel they are exhausting their skills in their job and 58% think they will advance in their workplace.

Another trend that has intensified compared to last year is the professional retraining that employees are considering making in their careers.

The survey shows that 38% of employees are considering retraining, compared to only 24% last year, with the trend characterizing all age groups - from young workers under the age of 35 to 46-plus workers.

The most significant increase in the desire to make a professional transition was recorded among those aged 46 and over, who last year accounted for only 14%.

Another interesting statistic that emerges from the survey is the degree of stress of the employees.

Compared to last year, it seems that the level of stress of the employees has increased, when this year 53% of the employees feel pressure in their current position, compared to 49% last year.

In 37% of the companies, there was a significant increase in the departure of employees;

57% of leavers were looking for better conditions

In another survey conducted by Coface BDI among 130 managers and human resources managers in companies that together employ about 100,000 employees, it was found that 37% of the companies indicate a significant increase in employee departure, with 57% responding that the leading reason is better conditions elsewhere.

31% of employee departures occurred due to a career change, and 12% left due to a sense of exhaustion.

At the same time, most of the companies surveyed (78%) indicate an increase in the workforce in the past year.

Another strong trend that is taking place in the employment market and gaining real validity in the survey is the difficulty in recruiting employees: 45% of the companies state that this is the biggest difficulty.

It is followed by 37%, the difficulty in meeting the requirements for raising wages and / or improving conditions, and 18% is the difficulty in retaining employees.

Tehila Yanai, Co-CEO of the business information company CofaceBdi

"The most surprising phenomenon in the survey is the decline in the degree of loyalty and connectedness of workers to the workplace, and their connection to employers. This is an unexpected trend, as we would assume that like previous crisis periods, so in the Corona crisis workers' desire to hold on to

work This time, the opposite was observed: employees reflect a desire to evolve in new directions, to do other things, and the decision to move from company to company became very rapid. "By changing style and closing the gaps in the work-leisure relationship."

This is how the 100 best companies to work for were ranked for 2022

The ranking, conducted by Coface BDI, is based on surveys conducted among about 300,000 employed persons in the economy and according to employers' data in the 12 months ended December 2021. The ranking weighed several data: Results of internal company employee surveys conducted by more than 100 companies, results A comprehensive survey among human resource managers in the leading companies as well as data provided by the leading companies regarding the welfare characteristics of the organization.

The ranking is based on a mix of employee scores for the companies in which they are employed, along with their attitudes and perceptions towards other companies, as evidenced by employees' responses regarding their preferred workplaces.

In order to avoid biases and encompass a wide variety of opinions, the surveys are conducted throughout the year and nationwide, and in the final weighting, the size of the company is normalized relative to others.

The rating methodology is mainly based on surveys among company employees (conducted at no cost).

Thus, the chances of companies not allowing their employees to participate in the survey to enter the rankings are extremely low.

98 of the 100 companies ranked this year allowed their employees to participate in the survey.

In order to rank the important parameters for the Israeli worker in choosing the workplace, a preliminary test was first conducted among a representative sample of the employed population, in which more than 2,000 were surveyed (according to which the parameters were weighted).

A survey was then conducted among about 300,000 employed people, and its results were weighted according to the weights determined in the preliminary survey.
