»Viva von Agua«, EWE, About You - these are just a selection of the companies and organizations that have already distanced themselves from Fynn Kliemann.

Now the list just got a little longer.

For example, Toom has put the cooperation with the influencer and entrepreneur on hold.

The hardware store chain had collaborated with Kliemann on home improvement and DIY videos.

Be Toom stands for "respect and treating each other with respect," a company spokeswoman told SPIEGEL.

Therefore, take the current publications and allegations very seriously. The company "immediately suspended all ongoing cooperation measures immediately after the publication of the report".

Toom is currently examining the legal options.

According to a report in the "Lebensmittelzeitung", the beverage manufacturer Berentzen has also ended its cooperation with Kliemann.

The influencer had sold a fashion collection with the brand of mate drink "Mio Mio" from Berentzen via his online shop.

The background is research by the "ZDF Magazin Royale" presented by Jan Böhmermann, according to which Kliemann misled the public about the production location and conditions of the masks.

Mouth and nose protectors were in short supply, especially in the first few months of the corona pandemic in spring 2020, and are therefore in demand.

Instead of Portugal and Serbia, millions of masks sold under his name were made in Bangladesh and Vietnam.

In addition, Kliemann may have contributed to the fact that 100,000 defective protective masks were delivered to refugee accommodation.

The sustainability award that Kliemann received for this reason in 2020 was revoked last week.

In the SPIEGEL interview, Kliemann denied fraud, but admitted exaggerated and untenable statements - and put the pre-tax profit with the masks at more than 400,000 euros.

According to SPIEGEL information, the whirlpool manufacturer Nordpool also no longer wants to work with Kliemann.

"Due to the current reporting, we, like other partners, are clearly distancing ourselves from the cooperation entered into with Fynn Kliemann," said a spokesman for the company from Salzhausen on request.

Nordpool will not enter into any future collaborations with him.

The cooperation involved the delivery of a hot tub for Kliemann's holiday home in Nordstrand, which he rents out through the LDGG website.

In recent months, the website had advertised "offering vacations at reasonable prices" - with a special function.

Guests could voluntarily pay more for their stay than necessary to enable financially disadvantaged people to vacation.

Much of what Kliemann needed to set up his holiday apartments – from kitchen knives to whirlpools – he had business partners provide.

His return: advertising on his social media channels.

"Material for reach," Kliemann called it at the beginning of the year to SPIEGEL.

Kliemann personally approached Nordpool about the matter, says the company spokesman.

Due to the "until recently positive image of Mr. Kliemann" he was listed as a reference on the website.

In addition, Nordpool - "on the recommendation of Mr. Kliemann" - purchased some textiles from the textile manufacturer Global Tactics.

An order for t-shirts for the team was placed just two weeks ago.

“We are trying to cancel these at the moment,” said the spokesman.

Kliemann holds shares in the company Global Tactics.
