Gold witnessed price fluctuations today, with the dollar rising to its highest level in 20 years, balancing the support for the precious metal from the decline in US bond yields.
And Reuters news agency reported that gold rose in spot transactions 0.1 percent to 1853.31 dollars an ounce.
And US gold futures fell 0.1 percent to $ 1851.70 an ounce.
As for other precious metals, silver fell in spot transactions by 0.7 percent to $21.40 an ounce, platinum fell 0.1 percent to $990.89 an ounce, and palladium rose 0.5 percent to $2046 an ounce.
