European Commissioner for Economic Affairs Paolo Gentiloni has warned that Italy may head into recession if it does not get the money to recover.
And the German news agency quoted Gentiloni as saying in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Stampa: The political parties in Italy need to understand the changing context and also need to support the reform agenda of Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
In turn, the newspaper said: The European Commission, the executive arm of the European Union, will urge Italy to complete long-awaited reforms that are necessary to disburse recovery funds, in its assessment of the country's accounts tomorrow, Monday.
