Lines 67 or a graphic error?

Osem's map excites the web

Osem posted on its Facebook page: "Did you know that the population of Israel is expected to reach 11 million inhabitants by 2030?"

And attached a video with a map of the Land of Israel, not including Judea and Samaria, the Jordan Valley and the Golan Heights.

Many surfers were furious and Osem removed the post and clarified: "This is a graphic error"

Osem managed to upset quite a few Israelis last night - and this time not because of an intention to raise prices, but because of the publication of a map of the Land of Israel.

The map was part of a promotional video, entitled: "Did you know that the population of Israel is expected to reach 11 million inhabitants by 2030?"

So where's the problem?

Well, the map that appeared in the video was of the State of Israel within the borders of June 4, 1967, that is, without the territories of Judea and Samaria, the Jordan Valley and the Golan Heights.

Even if the political debate about the state's borders is ignored for a moment, at least the Golan Heights has been part of the State of Israel for more than 40 years and according to Israeli law.

Admits by mistake but does not apologize

The reactions were not long in coming: many surfers, some residents of the said areas, were angry - and were quick to accuse Osem of adopting the BDS positions and other allegations, some even calling for a consumer boycott.

Bassem removed the post and responded laconic: "This is a graphic error and therefore the post was removed," but many surfers were not satisfied with removing the post and demanded an apology from the food manufacturer, which at least as of now, has not yet been received.
