Oil prices fell about a dollar today, due to fears of a possible recession in the world and the restrictions of the fight against Covid-19 in China.
Reuters news agency reported that Brent crude futures fell 56 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $112.86 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude fell 72 cents, or 0.7 percent, to $109.57 a barrel.
Oil prices have risen significantly this year, as Brent crude reached $139 a barrel last March, its highest level since 2008.
