McDonald's returns the mythical Mac Chicken to the menu.

In favor of the launch, the modern McDonald's branch became a nostalgic branch in the style of the 1990s, the decade in which the chain's activity was launched in Israel.

The campaign will star Gil Sassover, under the slogan: "Your Crash from the Nineties is back"

This week, McDonald's re-launched the mythical Mac Chicken, which was one of the chain's leading products when it entered Israel in 1993.



It is a sandwich with chicken patty with a crunchy coating (a huge nugget), which is sold in the same format all over the world.



Ten years since it was launched here, it has been decided in the Israeli chain to remove it from the menu and incorporate the crispy chicken in its place.

According to the chain, throughout the years it has received many inquiries from diners who missed it and now it has been decided to return it in its original taste to the menu.

Mac Chicken is also offered for the first time in the double version and is added to the chain's chicken products: Nuggets, Chicken Steak, Chicken Select, Crispy Chicken and Crunchy Chicken.



The launch is accompanied by a nostalgic campaign dedicated entirely to the 90s.

For the purpose of photography, a modern McDonald's branch became a branch in the design of the 90s in its early years: the furniture, campaign signs such as walking on coals, workers' uniforms, product packaging, balloons on a stick, the clown Ronald McDonald's, etc.

The campaign, through the advertising agency Joshua TBWA, features 90s star Gil Sassover who was chosen to star himself in a restored flashback under the slogan "Your Crash from the Nineties Returns", alongside actor Jeremy Chic Bloom.

This is Jeremy's second casting for the network's campaign videos.

About three years ago he starred in the launch videos of the meal serving service to the table.
