Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said: “It is US President Joe Biden who bears responsibility for the rise in commodity prices in Europe because of his policies and the sanctions he imposed on Russia.
Russia Today website quoted Volodin as saying on his Telegram page: Washington was forcing the countries of the European Union to impose sanctions on Russia and to abandon the purchase of Russian energy, and it succeeded in that, and we are witnessing here double standards, while European politicians and officials now have to explain why their citizens should bear the high Prices caused by Biden.
Volodin pointed out that despite the US decision to ban the supply of oil, gas and other energy from Russia and the US President's statement that US ports will not accept Russian oil, the data of the Energy Information Department of the US Department of Energy indicate otherwise, explaining that oil supplies from Russia nearly doubled last March. Compared with the previous February, from 2.325 to 4.218 million barrels, our country rose from ninth to sixth place in the list of the largest oil suppliers to the United States.
