The leaders of Maisons Phénix call on the State for help

2022-06-13T18:44:51.750Z

In a letter addressed to the President of the Republic, the leaders are alarmed by a possible “pure and simple judicial liquidation”.

The takeover offers received for Geoxia, owner of the famous Maisons Phénix, are worrying the company's managers.

On May 24, the company was placed in receivership, unable to find a buyer despite the support of the Ciri (Interministerial Committee for Industrial Recovery) for a year.

Two global offers that managers and employees deem not very credible have been sent to the Nanterre commercial court, as well as several partial takeover offers that do not include the group's three production sites.

The leaders of the company in difficulty await a quick response from the executive

In a letter addressed to the President of the Republic, the leaders are alarmed by a possible

“pure and simple judicial liquidation”.

To avoid such a scenario, the current management of Geoxia presented its own global takeover offer to the court.

Problem: it is not funded.

For it to be, the leaders ask in the same open letter for the help of the State.

The sum is even specified: 70 million euros.

It could come from a loan from the Fund for Economic and Social Development (FDES) or from transition funds.

The first half would finance the working capital requirement.

The second half would correspond to losses related to construction sites in progress.

The leaders of the company in difficulty expect a quick response from the executive.

The Nanterre commercial court will hold a hearing on June 28 to examine the offers and give its opinion on the future of the pioneer of inexpensive single-family homes.
