The value of loans granted by the People's Credit Bank since the beginning of the year until the end of last May amounted to 57 billion and 160 million Syrian pounds.
The Director-General of the bank, Dr. Nidal Al-Arbeed, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the number of loans since the beginning of the year until the end of last month is 22,795, most of them for low-income civilians and military personnel.
In another context, Al-Arbeed confirmed that the bank has started implementing the second phase of the contract signed with the Real Estate Bank to deploy POS devices in its branches in the governorates with the aim of addressing congestion on ATMs and ending the difficulties experienced by credit card holders, which is represented in having to make their withdrawals in several batches. .
Al-Arbeed pointed out that the preparation and installation of new points of sale, in coordination with the Real Estate Bank in the governorates of Aleppo, Homs, and Damascus countryside “Al-Tal, Al-Nabek, Zabadani, and Douma” has begun, explaining that the third phase of installing the POS devices will also include credit branches in the governorates of Quneitra, Sweida and Daraa. Publish all points and invest them successively in the bank's branches in the rest of the governorates.
The Real Estate and Credit announced the implementation of the first phase of the contract concluded between them by installing and operating 42 POS points of sale in the credit branches in the governorates of Damascus, Hama, Lattakia and Tartous to enable credit card holders and retirees to receive their full dues and pensions in one movement within the daily withdrawal ceiling set on a point Selling at 200 thousand pounds and also enabling them to make their withdrawals through points in post centers and branches of the real estate bank.
