Officially, Gazprom, the Russian company responsible for sending the gas, invoked technical reasons on equipment in the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline to justify this tap closure.
An explanation, which, unofficially, does not convince the Europeans who see it rather as a measure of reprisal in connection with its support for Ukraine.
