The organizers of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum announced at the conclusion of its 25th edition, which was held over the past few days, that this economic event led to a large number of deals amounting to 105 billion dollars.
Russia Today website quoted Anton Kobyakov, advisor to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the Forum's Organizing Committee, as saying at a press conference held on the final day of the forum that 691 deals and contracts were signed during this economic event worth 6 trillion rubles, equivalent to 105 billion dollars.
Kobyakov pointed out that "the forum proved Russia's independence and stability in light of Western sanctions imposed on various sectors of the Russian economy."
The Petersburg International Economic Forum in its 25th edition this year witnessed effective international participation despite the Western sanctions imposed on Moscow.
