China's crude coal production rose 10.3 percent during the month of May, on an annual basis.
The Chinese news agency, Xinhua, stated that official data issued by the National Statistics Authority showed a steady growth in China's production of raw coal during last May, which amounted to 10.3 percent to reach 370 million tons, after measures to ensure energy supplies and stability of prices were put into effect.
The authority indicated that the growth rate was 0.4 percentage points lower compared to April, and that China's production of raw coal increased between January and May by 10.4 percent year on year to 1.81 billion tons, while its imports decreased by 6.13 percent to 96 million tons.
