The trend is even accelerating.
After Nickel, the subsidiary of BNP Paribas which allows you to open an account with a tobacconist, it is the turn of Shine, the online bank for professionals and the self-employed, to authorize its customers to deposit cash in these businesses.
The start-up, a subsidiary of Societe Generale, has teamed up for this with the fund carrier Brink's.
MAE, the leader in school insurance, also offers the Brink's Payment Services solution, allowing its policyholders to pay their contributions in cash at tobacconists.
