One man show, aperitif philosophy or show... Citéco (Cité de L'Économie et de La Monnaie) is multiplying the proposals for its new Écocotiers festival, which will take place from Thursday June 30 to Sunday July 3, 2022 and aims to democratize the economy by adopting an offbeat look, notably via art.

We wanted to talk about the economy as we talk about science at the Cité des sciences.
Citéco was born in 2019, but the COVID cut us in our momentum.
We were only able to do our first season in 2021. The idea was to put some joy into a subject that seems off-putting with all its numbers
, ”says Aurélie Passerel, in charge of cultural and educational action at Citéco.
The project could not have seen the light of day without the Banque de France, owner of the premises which essentially finances the museum.
In 2010, she left the premises and did not know what to do with the premises: then the idea of proposing a museum devoted to the economy germinated in this former private mansion of Emile Gaillard, banker at the end of the 19th century and patron .
The Hôtel Gaillard was then fitted out to present the economy in a fun way.
