The Syrian Investment Authority granted an investment license for a project to manufacture water filtration and purification machines with different capacities and uses “domestic, medical, industrial and agricultural” in Hama governorate.
The director of the Syrian Investment Authority, Madian Diab, told SANA reporter that the estimated cost of the project is 3 billion Syrian pounds, and it is expected to provide 75 job opportunities.
Diab noted that the project is one of the atypical activities in the field of engineering industries and aims to meet the demand for fluid filtration and purification devices in several important and vital areas such as hospitals, pharmaceutical laboratories, various industries, storage and refrigeration and livestock.
It is noteworthy that the number of projects that were granted an investment license in accordance with Investment Law No. 18 issued in May last year has so far reached 33 projects, which are various industrial, food, chemical, renewable energy, pharmaceutical, textile and services projects in the governorates of Damascus countryside, Hama, Homs, Latakia, Aleppo and Sweida.
