Wall Street closed lower today as little catalysts fueled investor sentiment and the US central bank's monetary policy tightening.
Reuters reported that the benchmark Standard & Poor's 500 index closed down 11.69 points, or 30 percent, to 3,900.05 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 105.70 points, or 0.91 percent, to 11,501.92 points.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 55.57 points, or 0.18 percent, to close at 31,445.11 points, while all three major indices of US stocks are heading for the second consecutive quarterly decline for the first time since 2015.
