The Russian currency continued to strengthen its positions against the American and European currencies, as the dollar traded below the level of 53 rubles and the euro below the threshold of 56 rubles for the first time since 2015.
Russia Today reported that the US dollar's exchange rate fell against the Russian ruble by 66 kopecks to 52.72 rubles, while the euro exchange rate fell by 67 kopecks to 55.62 rubles, according to Moscow Stock Exchange data.
