The results of data issued by the Chinese National Statistics Authority showed that the purchasing managers' index for the manufacturing sector in China rose to 50.2 points during the current month of June, up from 49.6 points during the month of May.
"China's general economic recovery is recovering as the epidemic prevention and control situation is improving, and policies and measures aimed at stabilizing the economy are implemented at a faster pace," Xinhua news agency quoted Zhao Qing, the agency's chief statistician, as saying today.
The data revealed that the sub-index of production reached 52.8 points this month, while the sub-index of new orders reached 50.4, an increase of 2.2 percentage points from last May.
The data also indicated that the purchasing managers' index for the non-manufacturing industries sector in China reached 54.7 points this June, up from 47.8 points last May.
