The Central Bank of Russia has introduced a new 100-ruble banknote that will be in circulation from today.
According to the Russian RT website, the front side of the new banknote contains the Spasskaya Tower, the main tower of the eastern wall of the Kremlin, also known as the Clock Tower, while the back contains the Rzhevsky monument to the Soviet soldier.
The new banknotes are treated with special materials for added protection and contain a QR code that takes the user to the central bank's website.
