During the first five months of this year, the Russian economy recorded a growth of 0.5% on an annual basis.
"Russia's gross domestic product in May 2022 decreased by 4.3 percent and in April by 2.4 percent, but according to the results of the first five months of the year there is still a growth of 0.5 percent," the Russian Ministry of Economic Development said in a statement carried by RIA Novosti Agency.
The ministry attributed the main reasons for this decline during the mentioned months to transportation and logistics restrictions and reduced domestic demand in Russia.
