Since July 1, it is no longer possible to install an oil-fired boiler in a house.
To encourage the use of renewable energies, the public authorities are offering, until the end of the year, a bonus of 1,000 euros.
It is granted for the replacement of oil or gas heating equipment with an ecological device such as a wood-fired boiler or a heat pump.
This premium is in addition to the aid already existing.
1. What are the constraints of a wood boiler?
The installation of a wood pellet boiler can easily be combined with a pre-existing central heating system (radiator and pipes) because it reaches a similar heating temperature (55 to 65°C).
On the other hand, to avoid refueling your boiler regularly, sufficient storage space is essential.
If the surface to be heated is not too large, you can transform the space initially occupied by your old oil tank into storage space for pellets.
