Auf wiedersehen Siemens!
Announced last February, Valeo's acquisition of Siemens' share in eAutomotive, their joint venture in high-voltage electric propulsion, has been completed.
The company specializes in electrification over 60 volts, including 400 volts and 800 volts.
At this level, the performance is much better: the power of the car is much greater, and the charging is faster.
This is a complementary activity to the 48-volt light hybrid (the Ami de Citroën is also equipped with its 48V engine) that Valeo was already doing.
