Data from the China General Administration of Customs showed that China's foreign trade jumped 9.4 percent year on year to reach 91.8 trillion yuan, or 2.49 trillion US dollars, in the first half of this year.
"The growth of foreign trade remarkably rebounded in the months of last May and June," Xinhua quoted the authority's spokesperson Li Kuiwen as saying, noting that the rapid recovery of imports and exports in the Yangtze River Delta in particular led to a remarkable recovery in the overall growth of China's foreign trade.
According to customs, the value of exports rose by 13.2 percent year on year to reach 11.4 trillion yuan, while the value of imports increased by 4.8 percent year on year to reach 8.66 trillion yuan.
With the improvement of the situation of prevention and control of the Corona epidemic and the beginning of the impact of the policies that stimulate growth, foreign trade companies have resumed their work and production in an orderly manner since last May.
